It has always been important to offer remote working to staff, however, the importance has been highlighted recently.

We have been using eduthing for a number of years, they support us with every aspect of our IT from day-to-day problems with software to advising on large scale projects. eduthing helped us during the pandemic by quickly turning around loading software onto new Chromebooks and helping with the endless google suite questions to ensure remote learning was available to all. In April 2019, following an extensive tender process, we selected eduthing to deliver a managed IT service at St Matthew’s. With a number of providers in the sector, it was crucial that we partnered with a forward thinking company to help devise a strategy to update our ageing IT infrastructure and classroom technology. Their educational experience and knowledge was key to ensure we invested our budget wisely, with  maximum impact and to best support teaching and learning. We cannot fault the support provided by eduthing. All staff take ownership of problems and stick with them through to resolution rather than them being passed around, which ultimately means issues are resolved quicker and with less input required from staff. They also have a real understanding of how a school works and that staff are not IT experts and try to find cost effective solutions that best fit staff and school  requirements. eduthing have provided us with incredible support, expertise, and resilience when they started working with us in January 2020. They provided a complete review of our IT infrastructure to identify what areas of improvement should be made to enhance teaching and learning. In the last 18 months we have finally got Wi-Fi, a complete infrastructure rebuild, better facilities in classroom, and superfast broadband. Students and staff have been able to use office 365 effectively to deliver live lessons for months. We appointed Eduthing as our IT consultants in April this year and have been very pleased with the service so far. The ethos of the company conveyed by the Managing Director during the tender process and the Primary Schools & Academies Director during our initial meeting was exactly what we were looking for. The support team are always friendly and helpful and will be persistent when trying to resolve the issues within our technology. Our print release software was a particular nightmare, but Eduthing did not give up and we now have a solution.

Our system is in need of updating and we look forward very much to the outcome of the recent IT audit and working with Eduthing to improve hardware, speeds of data and our working practices. We have a lot of work to do and are confident that Eduthing will guide us through this process.

There was only one company that we felt had the credentials to meet our exacting expectations, eduthing. The team of engineers worked above and beyond, not only in the physical transition, but in the ongoing support of staff and Senior Leaders with reassurance. The team worked above and beyond expectations, often late at night and into weekends. The online support from eduthing is available during working hours, with engineers able to resolve 99% of issues remotely and efficiently. We also have access to an onsite engineer for half a day per week. Both aspects of this support serve to reassure staff and students that we have the technology and infrastructure to achieve the world class education our students deserve.
